Those Are My Limits with Luann Abrams

Welcome back to Courage Permission Slip! On this episode, Kea’s chatting with Luann Abrams. Luann is the founder of CEOX, an organization with a mission to elevate women into CEO and board roles. From her time in venture capital, she was compelled to find a solution to the inequities in leadership she saw at growing startups. Luann is also a founding board member of Strengthening Central Oregon Political Action Committee with the mission of recruiting and supporting under-represented individuals to run for political office. In the 2020 election, five of their six endorsed candidates were elected to office, ensuring diverse representation in the local community. Luann has a background in aerospace engineering, and in 2017 she was inducted into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame as part of the Golden Eagles—the winningest intercollegiate flying team.

In this conversation, Luann talked about:

  • Why women aren’t being offered CEO roles

  • What she tells herself when she feels fear about moving forward

  • Why gender equity is a life-or-death issue

  • Signs of good leadership

…and much more!
